Innovative Ag Services is looking for a Agronomy Sales Trainee in our Eastern Region. This position will learn our Monona and Elkader location sales business.Primary Objective: To learn tactics, policies, and procedures to increase volume sales and margin growth by actively selling products and services and being mentored by the current Agronomy Sales Advisors for the benefit of IAS and its member owners.Major Accountabilities:The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive.iLearn sales tactics and real world agronomic knowledge utilizing current Agronomy Sales Advisors and partnered supplier representativesiLearn and utilize current IAS technologies to enhance the customer experience and maximize time management efficiencies iPromote the sales of all IAS products and programs with primary emphasis of crop protection products, plant food, seed, agronomy programs and services.iProvide necessary information to current and prospective customers to support products and programs, and assist customers in making production and business decisions.iCommunicate on a regular basis with location and sales team members to keep them abreast of current crop production and business practices; products, programs, and services; and customer/prospect activity.iWork closely with location managers and Agronomy Sales Advisors to coordinate product inventories and distribution to customers.iFacilitate efficient and accurate pricing, invoicing, and distribution.iSubmit daily reports of contacts made and customer and competitor activity.iWork with Business Development Manager to quickly resolve any concerns or complaints brought forward by current or prospective customers.iActively assist in the development of individual growth and development plans and participate in agreed upon training.iSupport and help develop department and individual marketing and business plans.iKeep an up to date database of all customers and prospects with in assigned area.
