Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.HDR Architecture, Inc. currently has an opening for a Sr. Telecommunications Specialist in our Omaha, NE office.The Sr. Telecommunications Specialist will be expected to complete a variety of project tasks including but not limited to the following:- Strong general engineering knowledge of either the telecommunication (Horizontal/Backbone cabling and pathways) and operational coordination with commercial hardware.- Meet with project clients to evaluate, define and review customer needs/objectives and insure those requirements are meet within the project design.- Define and develop complete project related construction documents to include all design documents (SD, DD, CD) to show design intent, project specifications and assist with system related activities within all construction administration (CA) activities.- Define and develop system architecture, system concept of operations, interface/integration requirements, and verification/validation of systems start-up, testing and commissioning procedures.- Coordinate with integrated, multidisciplinary project teams to develop functional requirements, system designs and other project related requirements.- Develop alternative system design concepts, feasibility and trade-off studies and value-added engineering when required for projects.- Maintain knowledge of current industry product offerings and research new emerging technologies.- Assist in problem resolution and technical troubleshooting when field support is needed.- Work with, provide direction and mentor telecommunication designersQualificationsRequired Qualifications- Bachelors' degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.- 5 years of work experience in a related technical field.- RCDD preferred.- Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks independently, on schedule and under budget.- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).- Ability to work in a high-velocity environment managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and workmanship quality.- Strong computer skills and a proficiency or able to work in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, must be able to learn new applications quickly.- Knowledge of engineering drawing and design standards and practices.- Strong desire for continuous learning and professional education.- Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Why HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for; it's also about what you do and how you do it.
